Our Analysis

Initial capex

costlier than 16% of 546 projects we track

A US$50M build against a US$66M market capitalisation is the fact that governs this asset. The company cannot fund that from its own balance sheet, and at roughly 0.8x its entire equity value the cheque is large enough that whoever writes it will want a meaningful slice of the company in return. That points to the usual paths: a partner or offtaker carrying a share of construction, project-level debt against a resource that has no reserve statement behind it, or equity issued at micro-cap prices. Each of those transfers value away from current holders, and the last is the most punitive.

The economics themselves are thinner ground than they look. This is a resource estimate, not a feasibility study, so there is no economic study underpinning the numbers, and any returns quoted are indicative at best. Antimony adds a second layer of uncertainty: pricing is opaque and the study's own assumption should be read as a sensitivity rather than a forecast, because there is no reliable live reference to test it against. A project of this size can look workable on paper and still fail at the financing table.

Nevada is the genuine positive. A US jurisdiction with an established permitting and mining framework lowers the political and execution risk that would otherwise compound the funding question, and it widens the pool of lenders and partners who will engage at all. But it does not change the arithmetic: the company is one of 10 projects in a diversified micro-cap portfolio, which raises the question of how much of the group's limited capital and management attention this build can actually command.

The single question is whether a partner or lender can be brought in on terms that fund US$50M without handing control of the asset, and most of the equity value, to someone else.
